Kawa Kon 2014

So Kawa Kon is on the 7th, so less than a week away! I go every year and this will be like....my 5th year I think? I don't even know anymore, honestly. Anyways, brief journal time to write about what I'm bringing n what not. I'll try to get some good pictures, but I don't have any photographer friends going so I don't know how many I'll really get.
Sooo Kawa Kon last year is when I got engaged...I know a lot of you are probably like "wow why the crap aren't they married yet"...weeeellll we're waiting on something important before we can get married. It's personal business. BUT ANYWAYS it's the con where I met candybkins and where we got engaged, so it's pretty important to both of us.

What we're bringing *SHOULD* be in order as follows:

FRIDAY
Green - Pokemon (Candy as Red)

SATURDAY
a.m.: Marshall Lee - Adventure Time (Candy as Prince Gumball)
p.m.: Gethin - Original dark elf character (Candy as Emmerich, her character)

SUNDAY
Male Panty - Panty and stocking with Garterbelt (Candy as Male Stocking)

I'm pretty excited about it all. Marshall has a new axe and I made Prince Gumball's prince costume for Candy and I can't wait to show both of those things off, and there's 2 never before worn costumes. The only reason this line up might change is if we don't get our Panty and Stocking costumes in time...see, we didn't have time to make angel costumes for them and defaults are boring, so I commissioned a friend to make us some chuck and honekoneko kigurumis. If we don't get those in time, we'll probably repeat Red and Green on Sunday or just wear our other kigurumis and not cosplay.

Anyways, I'll write about the con after I get back and do a video as always~

Pretty late coming back to this journal and writing up how the con was...I guess that's because I really didn't enjoy myself. The panels looked interesting enough, but I was really bored through anything we thought would be cool and disappointed. Overall it was pretty dull for me...Candy got sick Saturday so we only wore one Saturday costume and there was a lot of stress.

We wore Green and Red on Friday. That was pretty fun, but everyone kept calling us Ash and Gary. That made me giggle. Close enough, right? Our friend also wore May and she was sooooo cuuuute! Im so proud of her for making it herself!

Saturday we wore Marshall and Gumball. Had some minor issues with my make up and have decided to invest in some body paint next wear, I'm just very picky about his colour so I'll be sad just making it grey rather than his green grey since I can't find it anywhere. Either way, the costumes went over well and I really enjoyed wearing him as always and finally showing off Candy's Prince Gumball cosplay that I made for her. Our other friend also did Finn and he's probably the cutest Finn ever so it was nice having costumes from the same series.

Sunday we just wore our regular clothes and explored a bit. We left fairly early since we were so bored.

Next con we'll go to is ASTL. We'll wear Marshall and Gumball again. I need to tailor his shirt to not be so long on me since I lost weight and it looks a bit silly aaand buy some body makeup.

I didn't film much because there wasn't really much to film unfortunately. Maybe I'll make a video at ASTL. I really need a fun con so I hope ASTL is that con!
